Nicholson announced as the opening keynote speaker

The Indiana LinuxFest organizers are pleased to announce that Deb Nicholson will be the opening keynote speaker for the 2013 Indiana LinuxFest.

Nicholson works at the intersection of technology and social justice. She is the Community Outreach Director at the Open Invention Network and the Communications Wrangler at GNU MediaGoblin. She also serves on the board at Open Hatch, a non-profit dedicated to matching prospective free software contributors with communities, tools and education. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The third-annual Indiana LinuxFest will be held the weekend of July 26-28 at the Wyndham Indianapolis West Hotel. Nicholson's opening keynote will be given the morning of July 27.

The Indiana LinuxFest is about community, information, and friends, and strives to bring the free and open-source software community together for more than just information gathering. It will be a place for people to network, communicate, and have a good time.

Registration for the 2013 Indiana LinuxFest is open now, as is the call for presentations. More information can be found at http://www.indianalinux.org.
